Biography:

 

Dr. Sardar Mohialdeen Hamad Ameen is an assistant professor and dean of faculty of science at the Soran University. He obtained his MSc in Geology from Salahaddin University in 2004. He finished his PhD in Geology from Salahaddin University in 2012. He started working in Salahaddin University-Erbil, Kurdistan - Iraq as an assistant lecturer on 7th Dec 2004, and became a lecturer in 8th Dec 2007.  In 26th Feb 2013 became an assistant professor in Sedimentology and stratigraphy. He became the Dean of the Faculty of science at the Soran University on 2nd Nov 2014. He has overall responsibility for the leadership and management of the Faculty. He plays a major role in identifying and implementing Faculty’s teaching/research strategy as a member of the Council. He managed a series of trainings to help students in geology. He published 15 papers in international and local journals in the field of sedimentary geology. In addition he supervised three MSc students in the field of Sedimentology.

 

2004 -2009 Rapoteur of Geology Department, Salahaddin University.

2005to 2009, Field Applications committee of Geology Department: for training the students studying of stratigraphy and relationships between beds and formations and assigning boundaries with drawing of geological map of study area, as well as the study of sedimentary igneous and metamorphic rock provenances at  Zagros Thrust Zone, which is the only  location of such Provenance in Iraq.

2004 Teaching as Assistant Lecturer in the applied General Geology, and Basin analysis in Department of Geology, College of Science, Salahaddin University.

2007 Teaching as Lecturer in stratigraphy, sedimentary rocks and Geology of Iraq in Department of Geology, College of Science, Salahaddin University.           

2008 Training the students to how can they describe, sampling, and measuring the geologic formations in the field, and drawing geologic cross sections, and writing the geologic reports.

2009-2012 Ph.D. Student in Geology Department, College of Science, Salahaddin University-Erbil.

2013 Teaching as Assistant Professor in Sedimentology, Basin analysis, Sedimentary petrology and Petroleum systems in Geology Department, College of Science, Salahaddin University.
